This design is taken from a Sèvres Porcelain saucer dated 1766. The cup and saucer set (Goblet ‘à lait’ et soucoupe) were purchased by the third Marquess of Hertford, and recorded in an inventory of 1842. The original porcelain saucer is housed in the Back State Room at the Wallace Collection.
This tin plate is both light and durable, making for a perfect addition to an ‘al fresco’ dining experience.
