A 100 piece puzzle depicting one of François Boucher’s great works: The Rape of Europa. Coupled with the Wallace Collection’s other Boucher paintings in the stairwell, this picture represented smell in a series of five monumental canvases symbolizing the senses. Boucher’s ironic rendering concentrates on the gallant aspects of the scene, eschewing any reference to the story’s inherent violence.
