This design is taken from a Sèvres Porcelain saucer dated 1766 and shows a ground pattern invented by the porcelain painter Vincent Taillandier (1736-1790). The original porcelain saucer is housed in the Back State Room at the Wallace Collection.
This tin plate is both light and durable, making for a perfect addition to an ‘al fresco’ dining experience.
